25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hayley McCarthy conducted an unannounced annual inspection for a large family childcare at the above home on 10/31/2025 at 10:15 AM. LPA met with Licensee Anita Amponsah, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There was 4 children present with Licensee and Assistant when LPA arrived.
The facility operates Monday through Friday from 07:00 AM to 04:30 PM each day. Certain areas are off-limits, including the entire second floor, downstairs bedroom, outdoor shed, laundry room, kitchen, side yards, and garage. The facility is licensed as a large Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of fourteen children and is operating within the capacity of the license. The fire clearance for a large family child care was approved on 02/11/2022 by Menifee Fire Department.
During the inspection, LPA observed Licensee to be responsive and aware of where the children were at all times. A working cell phone is available, and the current phone number on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning smoke detector which was tested by the Licensee. The carbon monoxide detector was found to be without batteries and licensee replaced the batteries during the inspection. All hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children in the off limits laundry room. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Anita Amponsah, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations. Stairs are barricaded with a baby gate when children are in care.
The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is maintained, with the last drill conducted on October 7, 2025.
