Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samuel Lopez conducted an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. A tour of the inside and outside of the facility was granted and the following was observed and/or noted:
This is a combination center and the other licensed programs is: Preschool 334846445, which was also inspected on this date
A review of staff and children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation.

· There are no weapons present at the facility as stated by Director Illona Anderson
· There are no accessible bodies of water present. All wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.
· Present for supply drinking water in the indoor activity space are water fountains and individual/personal cups
· Medications are stored where inaccessible to children at the entrance of the facility, where the Director and Assistant Director are located. This area is inaccessible and away from children's classrooms
· Hazards are stored where inaccessible to children which include: Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous
· Poisons and toxins are locked
· All floors shall be clean and safe
· Sanitation solution is out of the reach of infants
· Highchairs and tables have broad based legs and trays lock into place
· Changing tables are NOT within arm’s reach of a sink; padding is at least 1” think with raised sides of at least 3” covered in washable vinyl or plastic
· Hand washing is completed before and after each diaper change and before feeding an infant
· Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition; there is at least 1 potty chair for every 5 potty-training infants
· Playgrounds are enclosed by appropriate fences and free of hazards
· Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition
· Food/snack preparation area is clean, free of litter, rubbish and free of rodents and other vermin
· Food is stored appropriately and protected from contamination
· All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair
· Snack menus shall be posted at least one week in advance in a place visible by the child’s authorized representative, dated and kept on file for 30 days, and made available upon request.
· Uncontaminated drinking water shall be readily available both indoors and outdoors and provided by individual/personal cups, a which are filled with filtered water from the water fountains located on the premises
· The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are equipped with cushioned material that absorbs falls. The material is rubber matting underneath synthetic grass/turf

· Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements
· A Staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 1/2026
· Opening and closing staff member’s CPR/First Aid expires on 8/2026

· A review of children and staff files/records was conducted during today's inspection and were found NOT to be complete.
· Disaster drills to be conducted every six months – last drill conducted on 9/25/2024

· A review of staff records on 9/26/2024 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
· The Licensee can submit transfer forms to associate new individuals or to disassociate someone from your facility at: Associations_Disassociations862@dss.ca.gov
· A review of staff records indicates that all staff present DO NOT meet minimum qualifications for the position for which they were hired.

LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.

- LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Director Illona Anderson/Assistant Director Deborah Benavides and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource.

- LPA also informed Director Illona Anderson/Assistant Director Deborah Benavides of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. Director Illona Anderson/Assistant Director Deborah Benavides was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. Director Illona Anderson/Assistant Director Deborah Benavides was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
