Facility will provide breakfast, lunch and PM snack. The kitchen area currently includes 2 refrigerators, freezer, dishwasher, multiple sinks, stove with oven, grill with oven, convection oven, and a microwave. The kitchen area and food storage areas were observed to be free of rodents and/or vermin. Food will be observed to be properly stored separate from cleaning materials. Hazardous items in kitchen are inaccessible to children via locked door.
The facility currently has a brick wall surrounding the playground area with iron gates which is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 7,813.36 sq ft, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via permanent built in awning and a permanent built in canopy cover on the playground. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. Located on the playground is a climbing structure with manufacture recommendation of 2-5 years of age. All equipment is properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climbers provided via sand. Drinking water is available via filtered water in a pitcher with disposable cups in the playground. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playgrounds to be inaccessible to children. Facility Representative Maria Kehl was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing.
For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP).
