25 | On November 17, 2023 at 2:20 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jessica Rubio arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA met with Licensee Monica Ruiz and toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Friday 3 am through 12 am.
· Off-limit areas include: All bedrooms (however, one bedroom is temporarily being used during renovations), garage and dirt yard area behind the garage.
· The facility is licensed to have no more than 14 children as a large family child care home and is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios. LPA observed 10 children in care with licensee and an assistant providing care.
· Appropriate supervision was being provided during this inspection
· A working telephone is present, and the current phone number is on file
· A fully charged fire extinguisher was observed. A smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were present and tested by the Licensee during this inspection.
· All hazardous items were not stored inaccessible to children. The inside of the home is currently being renovated and LPA observed several cleaning solutions, bleach, paint cans and toiletries accessible in the home. A citation will be issued, however the licensee immediately removed all hazardous items while LPA was still present and corrected the deficiency on site.
· Weapons are not present on this date as stated by licensee. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations
