On June 25, 2024 at 10:04 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Courtnee Peebles conducted a case management POC visit for a deficiency that was previously issued on 03/14/2024. Licensee obtained an above ground pool summer of 2023 and did not notify licensing, however the pool barricade did not meet Title 22 regulations. On May 20, 2024 LPA and Licensing Program Manager(LPM) Carlos Martinez measured the black mesh fencing totaling 5ft from the ground, however the entrance latch was not 6in from the top of the gate upon arrival, furthermore licensee did correct this issue when LPA and LPM were present making the entrance latch 6in from the top of the gate. Licensee is also to place metal rods along the inside of the fencing making the fence sturdy and ensuring the prevention of access by children in care.

On June 25, 2024 LPA Peebles conducted a case management visit to ensure the metal rods that were installed along the mesh barricade for the pool. LPA observed and took photos of each metal rod to confirm they were sturdy and placed on each metal rod ensuring the stability of the fencing. Licensee has made the above ground pool inaccessible to children in care.

LPA also addressed a separate case management visit concerning an issue where 911 was called out to the FCCH during day care hours. LIC stated, on 06/19/2024 C1 was getting ready to eat snack around 03:00 PM when C1 looked pale. LIC stated, they picked C1 up and C1 fell limp and their eyes were rolling. LIC then placed C1 on the changing table to perform mouth to mouth. LIC's child came into the classroom and LIC stated, they told their child to get their spouse and to call 911. LIC stated, the paramedics arrived 2 minutes after contacting 911 and overheard the paramedics stating C1 had a seizure. C1 has not returned to the facility due to being admitted into the hospital.
