On 1/30/26 at 12:01 p.m., Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Sandra Pulido and Courtnee Peebles arrived unannounced at Bright Minds Montessori, Inc. (CCC) and met with Licensee Nam De Silva to discuss the findings of an investigation related to the above referenced allegation.

The complaint received on 11/05/25 alleged that staff did not pick up a daycare child from school. On 11/05/25 and 12/17/25, LPA Pulido conducted a tour of the center, completed a census, and obtained pertinent documentation. Confidential interviews were conducted with staff, parents, and children.
Interviews revealed that C2 was not picked up from their school at the scheduled release time. Interviews also indicated that the school was not notified that the designated staff member assigned to pick up the child was running late. Additionally, the parent of C2 was not notified by the facility; instead, the parent was contacted by the school.

Licensee will sign an attestation stating they will notify the parents and school if the designated staff member will be late on picking up daycare childre. Licensee will submit to LPA by 2/27/26.

Based on interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in not ensuring a daycare child was picked up from their school at their scheduled release time, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
