25 | On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection for a new license. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 80 preschoolers ages 2 through 5 years of age in toddler room 1, toddler room 2, preschool room 1 and preschool room 2. Hours of operation will be Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 4:15 pm and Friday 7:30 am - 2:45 pm.
All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Rosemary Perez that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. When medications are on site, Rosemary Perez stated that they will be kept in the lobby/reception area. A fully equipped first aid kit is located in reception area. AREA). There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located in each room. All required licensing documents will be posted in the waiting/reception sign-in area (see correction needed). Children will be signed in and out at their assigned room.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 4201.73, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 80 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via drinking fountains. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property.
LPA is waiting for the completed granted Fire clearance, per a document provided from the facility representative, that is from the Fire Marshall the facility was cleared 7/09/2024. The completed STD 850 has not been received as of this date, LPA has left a message for the Fire Marshall. The completed STD 850 will be needed prior to licensure.
