25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tricia Danielson conducted an unannounced annual inspection for a large family childcare facility at the above home on 06/20/2025 at 12:30 PM. LPA met with Licensee Evelia Gascon who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There were six children present with Licensee Gascon and an assistant when LPA arrived. A fire clearance for a large family child care was approved on 05/30/2024 by Riverside County Fire Department.
The facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM each day. Certain areas are off-limits, including master bedroom, bedrooms #1 and #2, laundry room, and garage. The facility is licensed as a large Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of fourteen children and is operating within the capacity of the license.
During the inspection, LPA observed Licensee to be responsive and aware of where the children were at all times. A working cell phone is available, and the current phone number on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. The fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children, and all hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children. No weapons are present, and Licensee Gascon understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations. There are no stairs at this home.
The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is maintained, and the last drill was conducted on April 8, 2025. (CONTINUED ON LIC 809-C)
