25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brian Morris and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Carlos Martinez conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection for a large family childcare at the above home on 05/09/2025 at 09:00 AM. LPA met with Applicants (mother) Sandra Rodriguez and applicant (daughter) Sandra Jaimes Rodriguez, who guided LPA on a tour of the home at 9:20 AM. There was 01 child present when LPA arrived. Applicant is applying for a large childcare license. Per Applicant, hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 07:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Applicant states they will provide care for children 2 months to 12 years of age.
This is a two-story home consisting of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, Family room/daycare room, office/isolation/Nap room, laundry room, front yard and backyard. The home was inspected for safety, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are kept inaccessible in the kitchen area (under sink locked) and laundry room and garage area, which is protected by a key lock and door locks and cabinet locks.
Areas used by children include: Family room, Office/isolation/Nap room, bathroom #1. Areas off limits include: The living room, downstairs bedroom #1, laundry room, garage area, kitchen area, backyard dog run area (right side of backyard), backyard dog area (left side of backyard, applicants agree to clear the ladders, and other construction material from the backyard and trim the bushes in the area). ALL upstairs bedrooms (#2, #3, #4, #5--main bedroom), ALL upstairs bathrooms, ALL upstairs closets. ENTIRE UPSTAIRS AREA OFF LIMITS. Off limit areas are made inaccessible by door locks, baby gates and doorknob cover. Knives and other sharp utensils are locked in kitchen cabinet area. Cleaning products are made inaccessible by a magnetic locks and baby locks.
