25 | On October 23, 2024, at 2:25 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cindy Hamilton arrived at the facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection. Present during this inspection were: applicant Elizabeth Romo. The home has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, with 2 attached garages. LPA toured the facility, inside and out with applicant Elizabeth Romo and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Per Applicant, off-limit areas include: entire 2nd floor, kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom #1, backyard, bedroom #1 and garages. Off-limit areas include gates, making them inaccessible to children.
· Normal hours of operation will be: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
· Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detectors were tested by the applicant during this inspection and were in working order.
· There is central heating and air conditioning.
· The fire extinguisher meets standards established by the State Fire Marshal.
· All hazardous items were observed to be inaccessible. Storage of poisons and toxins are inaccessible to children and locked under kitchen sink. Sharp items including kitchen knives, are inaccessible and stored in locked in drawer next to dishwasher. Medicines are locked and stored in master bedroom and upper kitchen cabinet next to oven.
· First Aid Kit is located next to front door, and contains all required items.
· Guns or weapons are stored in the facility as of this date. Applicant understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations. Licensee did not have access to guns during inspection.
· Stairs are barricaded.
· The fireplace is properly screened
· Clean, safe and age-appropriate toys were observed.
· LPA observed a working mobile telephone.
· There were toxic plants inside and outside the facility observed at this time but inaccessible. |
