25 | On January 9, 2025, at 9AM, Licensing Program Analyst’s (LPA’s) William Chancellor and Sandra Pulido arrived at the facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection. Present during this inspection were: Edward Stowe Jr. The home has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, with attached garage. LPA’s toured the facility, inside and out with Edward Stowe Jr. and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Per Applicant, off-limit areas include: attached garage, bedroom 2, bedroom 3, master bedroom, master bathroom and both side yards. Off-limit areas include child safety latch locks raised at bedroom doors, making them inaccessible to day care children. Dog run on east side is gated and listed as off-limits.
· Normal hours of operation will be: Monday through Friday, 6AM- 6PM.
· Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detectors were tested by the applicant during this inspection and were in working order.
· There is central heating and air conditioning.
· The fire extinguisher is fully charged and meets standards established by the State Fire Marshal.
· All hazardous items were observed to be inaccessible. Storage of poisons and toxins are inaccessible to children and locked in the laundry room, garage and under kitchen sink. Sharp items including kitchen knives, are inaccessible and stored in an out of reach, high kitchen cabinet. Medicines are locked and stored in an out of reach, high kitchen cabinet.
· First Aid Kit is located in the kitchen pantry and contains all required items.
· Applicant stated on today’s inspection, that no guns or weapons are stored in the facility as of this date. Applicant understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations.
· LPA observed a working cell phone.
· There were no toxic plants inside or outside the facility observed at this time.
· The outside activity area consists of: artificial turf play area with a swing set and batting cage. On the east side is a gated dog run area, listed as off-limits. Applicant stated they will install a gate to surround the artificial turf as a correction. The west side yard and fenced parameter of the backyard, making dirt, rocks and mulch inaccessible to daycare children. Continued on 809-C |
