On March 14, 2023 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Lea Habtom and Amanda Blesi arrived at the facility to discuss an unusual incident report filed by then Director Pamela Deets on Friday, March 10, 2023. At the time of arrival there were 37 preschool children being supervised by 6 staff in classrooms 2s, 3s & TK. LPAs conducted interviews regarding an incident that occurred on Friday, March 10, 2023 between a child and a staff member seen in a room with the door open. A parent observed the staff member in the room with the lights off however interviews revealed that the censored lights did not switch on when the staff member and the child entered the room. The staff member removed the child from the classroom as a means to calm the child down which is when the parent noticed the staff member and the child in the dark room. Based on interviews LPA L. Habtom has determined that there were no violations that occurred.
