Licensing Program Manager Karyn Guerra (LPM) and Licensing Program Analyst Katy Velazquez (LPA) met with Director Donyale Roberts (D1) for the purpose of an informal office visit. Also present in the meeting was District Manager Rosy Tichauer.

Today's informal meeting was to discuss the 5 citations, including repeat deficiencies, which occurred in 2024.

The Licensee stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance:
1. Completed all related Plans of Correction on time.
2. Staff changes included terminations and transitioning staff to best fit classrooms.
3. Separated young and older 2 year olds between preschool and toddler component.
4. Diapering policies now include changing primary care groups.
5. Master teachers will coach and support staff.
6. Program leads are reviewing video footage and providing suggestions.
7. Classroom manipulatives and developmentally appropriate toys will be purchased.

LPA and LPM reviewed the facility’s file prior to meeting. LPM provided information regarding the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division, offering on site support to licensees and providers. D1 has agreed to begin TSP services, and LPA will begin the referral process. LPA discussed using the Department’s website (ccld.ca.gov) for childcare updates, legislation, forms, and regulation information. LPA suggested viewing information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org.

LPA reviewed the report with Director Donyale Roberts.
