32 | LPA observed labeled food and milk for infants, stored at safe temperatures. LPA observed staff documentation of feedings and diaper changes. LPA reviewed children’s files and staff files. Each child's file had the required licensing documentation. LPA reviewed staff transcripts and observed all staff caring for infants were qualified. At least one staff had a current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. Staff all have current Mandated Reporter certificates and proof of immunizations. LPA observed a current children's roster and a fire drill log. There is First Aid equipment available. All Child Care Centers (CCCs) that are located in buildings constructed before January 1, 2010, must have their drinking water tested for lead and post the results by January 1, 2023, and every 5 years after the date of the initial test. For a license issued on or after July 1, 2022, the CCC must have its water tested and post the results within 180 days of licensure.

LPA also informed D1 of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are provided by this facility. The facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with D1. D1 was encouraged to the visit the department's website at WWW.CCLD.CA.GOV for information regarding childcare updates, PINs, forms, regulations and legislation pertaining to child care centers.
Based on information obtained via document review and observation of care, a deficiency has been cited. See page 809-D for Type A deficiency. Upon receipt of Type A citations, licensee shall post and provide copies of the LIC 809 D for parents/guardians of children in care and for parents/guardians of newly enrolled children for the next 12 months. Licensee must also keep the signed LIC 9224, acknowledging receipt of LIC 809 D in each child's file. Exit interview was conducted, appeal rights were provided, and a Notice of Site was posted. |
