On 07/05/2024, Licensing Program Analyst Katy Velazquez (LPA) conducted an unannounced field visit to deliver the findings for the above allegation. LPA arrived at the facility and was met by Director Stephanie Gill (D1). LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entrance into the facility. LPA observed a census of 62 preschool aged children. LPA determined, through accessing Guardian, that all required adults were background cleared and associated to the license.
Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA conducted physical plant inspections, on-site observations, interviews, and reviewed and collected documentation. It was alleged that a staff member left day-care children unattended. The investigation revealed that in 2023, a staff member would occasionally require additional breaks away from the classroom. The administration put a plan in place to accommodate this need while maintaining ratio of the children in-care. A staff member did leave the classroom; however, day-care children were not left unattended.

Based on interviews and other information collected, there was not a preponderance of evidence to prove or negate the allegation, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. In the areas that were evaluated on 07/05/2024, no deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Director Gill, and Appeal Rights were provided by LPA. A Notice of Site visit was posted by LPA and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
