On 2/13/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carla Polanco Rivera met with Acting Director, Alejandra Paredes, to deliver the findings of a complaint investigation conducted by LPA Jenie Tedlos, regarding the above allegations.

It was alleged that a Staff member intervened with an infant’s sleeping needs. In addition, it was also alleged that a staff member handled an infant in a rough manner. During the course of the investigation, LPA Tedlos obtained documents and conducted interviews with the Director, staff and parents. Individuals who were interviewed disclosed that they had no concerns over children’s sleeping needs not being met and had not witnessed any staff being rough or aggressive with children. Furthermore, interviews also provided mixed/conflicting statements about staff communication with parents regarding incidents pertaining to children’s needs. During today’s inspection LPA Polanco conducted infant classroom observations.

LPA did not witness any concerning behaviors or attitudes from any of the staff and observed staff handling children with proper care.

Based on the information obtained throughout the course of this investigation, the above allegations could not be substantiated or dismissed. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the finding is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

An exit Interview was conducted with the director. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
