25 | On Monday, April 26, 2021, at approximately 1:00PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Alize Tillery and Seychelle DeLuca, met with Director Jude Domondon and Assistant Director Diana for the purpose of an announced case management tele-inspection, via FaceTime (due to COVID-19). Director is requesting to increase the capacity from 70 to 82, with a maximum amount of 12 school age children. The facility’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00a – 5:45p. LPA Tillery received the granted fire clearance on 04/14/2021. There were 48 children present during today’s visit.
A virtual health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Director acknowledged that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, car seat poster, menus, and daily schedule. Director measured each room that is used by children, measuring a total indoor space of 3006.584 sq ft. Based on square footage, this space can accommodate the requested capacity increase for 82 children. LPAs observed sufficient amount of furniture, toys, and play equipment in the classrooms. LPAs recommended that staff have enough light in the rooms during nap time to ensure the comfort and safety of all persons in care.
A functional carbon monoxide detector was observed.
LPAs observed that disinfectants and medications are inaccessible and stored appropriately in the kitchen. Facility has sign in/out system at entrance of facility. LPAs observed required postings at entrance of facility. Director stated they use water bottles for drinking water. Facility has 6 toilets, 8 sinks and 5 potty training toilets. A separate staff restroom is available. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).
