13 | On June 26th, 2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jeremey McClain and Eduardo Barragan met with licensing representative Mary Patten to deliver findings for a complaint investigation. LPAs observed the following census: 14 children supervised by two staff.
An investigation was conducted regarding the following allegations: 1) Staff do not prevent children from being injured, 2) Staff did not prevent day care children from being bullied, 3) Staff did not prevent day care children from engaging in physical altercation.
During the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff, parents, and children. LPA made observations at the facility, and reviewed staff files. Based on the evidence gathered, LPA determined that the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met, therefore, the allegations are determined to be unsubstantiated. Although the allegations may or may not be true, the evidence gathered was not conclusive enough to corroborate or dismiss them.
There were no Title 22 deficiencies as a result of the investigation. LPA reviewed this report with the director and provided a Notice of Site Visit that must be posted for 30 days.
