Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christopher Jackson met with facility representative, LaShonda Bolling to deliver the findings regarding the above allegations.

Two allegations were made against the facility. The first allegation, Staff failed to protect daycare child from being bullied and hit by another child. LPA Jackson conducted interviews with various parents, staff and children enrolled. Staff explained they were not made aware of bullying in the program, but that they intervene and redirect children when incidences occur. No other statements were made to corroborate the allegation.

For the second allegation of Children being racial discriminated against by a staff member, LPA conducted observations and obtained statements from several parents, staff and children at the program. Although no statements were taken to support the allegation, the department could not dismiss the allegation. Based on conflicting information obtained throughout the course of this investigation, the above allegations could not be substantiated or dismissed. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the finding is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Exit interview was conducted. Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
