At 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Karyn Guerra met with Assistant, Cole Lynch, for the purpose of an unannounced, required - 1 year inspection. LPA observed a census of 3 children including 2 preschoolers and 1 infant child. Facility hours of operation are 24 hours, 7 days per week. Assistant was reminded that care shall not exceed 24 hours.

LPA discussed criminal record clearance. Assistant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off limits areas consist of master bedroom and bath, kitchen, garage. LPA observed the required postings, a working phone, 2A10BC fire extinguisher, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Assistant stated that there are no weapons nor poisons in the home. Toxic and hazardous items were appropriately stored, inaccessible to children. Fireplace is appropriately barricaded to prevent access by children. Fire Drills have been conducted and documented.
