25 | At 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 4th, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Dao Vang and Amanda Sutter met with Director, Jessica Price, for the purpose of an unannounced, required - 1 year inspection, and to accommodate Licensee’s request of adding a toddler option to the Preschool license. Licensee is requesting 16 toddlers ages 18-36 months under the Preschool Program. The previous capacity for the Preschool License was 64 and will remain 64 with capacity separated as 16 toddlers and 48 preschoolers. The fire clearance was granted on 9/13/2023. LPA observed a census of 14 children supervised by 4 staff. Facility hours of operation are from 7:30a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPAs conducted a health and safety inspection of the classroom, restrooms, and food service areas. LPAs observed the following documents are posted: License, Child Passenger Restraint Poster, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, menus, and daily schedule. Cleaning disinfectants and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Director stated that there are no firearms nor poisons on the premises.
The preschool program is located in classrooms Redwoods (#1221), Oaks (#1222), and Magnolia (#1223). The Toddler option is located in classroom Coconuts (#1224). LPAs observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, nap mats, and cubbies.
