25 | Licensing Program Analyst Jennifer Velasco (LPA) met with Facility Representative, Licensee Kelli Vaccaro (D1), for an unannounced case management inspection conducted for the purpose of following up on a self-reported incident.
Upon arrival, LPA observed 47 children in care being supervised by seven classroom staff.
The facility reported to the Department that a child (C1) experienced a seizure while in care. During today's inspection, LPA conducted interviews and reviewed facility documents.. It was determined that staff screened C1 for illness upon arrival at the facility, supervised C1 such that staff were able to determine C1 did not have a fever prior to experiencing the seizure, notified C1's parent of the seizure in a timely and accurate manner, and obtained emergency medical care for C1 in a timely manner.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. A notice of site visit (NOS) was provided and must be posted where visible to parents for 30 days. |
