13 | On Thursday, September 05, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Piring met with Facility Representative, Christine Tudor (Director), for the purpose of an unannounced complaint investigation to deliver findings. During today’s visit, LPA observed 21 preschool age children playing on the playground being supervised by 4 staff.
It was alleged that facility does not provide adequate supervision. Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA conducted interviews, reviewed relevant documentation, and made observations. LPA observed three staff in each class, along with floating staff. Interviews with staff confirmed that the center regularly keeps three staff in each class. Interview with the director shared ways that the facility has made changes to the physical plant such as removing brush, or structres that hindered the line of sight to enhance their supervision. Staff have taken several steps to address behavior concerns. Interviews with Authorized representatives did not reveal concerns with the facilty not providing adequate supervision. Although the allegation(s) may have happened, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegations; therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative, Christine Tudor. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal Rights provided. |
