On 2/23/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Perez, met with director Lauralyn Hill to deliver findings for the above allegation.

The allegation of "Inappropriate discipline," was investigated through interviews with school aged children, staff and the director of the facility and the reporting party. LPA made observations and documented relevant information.

LPA found the disciplinary procedures for the children, included standing against a wall for two to five minutes, writing sentences on a piece of paper and on a more rare occassion, putting their head down on the desk, when they become upset during games that are played. When putthing their heads down, the duration is only until the game is finished, which averaged a few minutes. This information was derived via interviews with children and staff.

LPA was unable to corroborate any forms of inappropriate discipline.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.

LPA reviewed this report with director, Lauralyn Hill and provided a notice of site visit, which will be posted for 30-days, in the school aged portion of the facility.
