Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with the director, Felicia Berry, for a random annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. At the time of arrival, there are six children with one teacher and the director. Facility is operating with in the capacity and in compliance with staff child ratio on this day. Facility operate day care from Monday to Friday between 7 AM to 7 PM.

With director, LPA inspected the day care areas including classroom, crib area and play yard. Facility has smoke detector, smoke detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone at the site. All of the cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children are stored in staff area and are inaccessible to the children. Facility has age appropriate furniture. Furniture is steady and in good repair. Facility floor is in good repair and free of any hazards. All storage containers for solid waste are in good repair and have proper lid on top. At front desk area, there are multiple thermometers that facility use to check temperature during the time of drop off. Facility has temperature log and is in use. LPA observed all of the unused electric outlets are covered with child protective covers. There is allergy list posted in the front desk area. Play yard is free of hazards. All of the play structures are steady, in good repair and free of any loose parts. There is wooden bark in place to prevent any injury. There is a tree in the play yard to provide shaded area. Director stated that there will be more shaded area added to the play yard.

LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed that facility has sign in / out record with full legal signatures at the front desk. Facility has COVID-19 information poster posted at the front glass wall facing outside to the parking log. Facility has license and other required documents posted in the lobby area and are visible for public. There are menus posted at least one week in advance and are visible to the child's authorized representative.

LPA reviewed all random children's and staff's files. LPA observed facility has record of names, addresses and telephone numbers of each child's authorized representative. Each child's record contain child's immunization record. Director has record of valid CPR card in file until February 22, 2023. LPA observed the teachers has completed the Mandated Reporters training and certificates are on file. Director is aware that all staff is required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com.

LPA encourages the director to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates. Director can also email at childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov and ask to be added to the email list for the updates.

No deficiencies are cited today. The copy of this report is reviewed and provided to the director. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days.
