Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with the facility director, Kellie Rodriguez, for a case management inspection related to an incident. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Upon LPA's arrival, there were 20 children in care with one staff and director in the classroom and more staff arrived during the inspection.

The facility self reported to the Department that on June 06, 2023, one child reported of being touched inappropriately by another child in care. The facility representative called the Department and reported the incident and submitted the written report. During today's inspection, LPA interviewed the director and reviewed the facility records. During the inspection, it was found that one child informed their parent of being touched inappropriately by another child in care during the play time in the play yard. Per director, there were director and two other staff members in the play yard during the time of the incident. Director stated that after learning about the incident, facility director interviewed staff and reviewed the camera recording. Per director, in video recording, director did not observe any inappropriate behavior and during the staff interviews, conducted by director, no witness was found. Director stated that the facility informed the family of the both children involved. Per director, the child who was accused of touched was interviewed and the child denied the allegation. Per director, the victim child is no longer attending this facility and the facility is practising enhanced supervision with children especially the child that was accused of the behavior.

During the inspection, LPA did not observe any violation of any regulation. Copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the director. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days.
