32 | There is one outdoor area on the property for preschool children. The outdoor play area is fenced with a wrought iron fence that is at least four feet tall. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment and toys. There are no bodies of water on the premises. The yard is separated into two sections with a wood fence, designating one side for the preschool and one side to be shared with infant and toddler. There are shaded areas supplied by trees and overhangs. Director stated that children bring their own drinking cups for water.
LPAs used measurements on file, previously measured on 6/8/2021. The total outdoor capacity space is 3835 square feet. The outdoor space will accommodate 30 children. There is a waiver on file allowing the facility to share the outdoor space with the Toddler and Infant children. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).
LPAs discussed with the Director the importance of Children’s Personal Rights and encouraged Director to conduct staff training on Personal Rights. Director was encouraged to visit the Department website at WWW.CCLD.CA.GOV for trainings, child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information.
