25 | On Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 11:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tanya Washington met with Licensee, Nasemeh Nazari, for the purpose of an unannounced annual/random inspection. Applicant speaks Farsi, LPA Seddeqi partially assisted with interpretation of inspection, after sometime Licensee's adult Elaheh Rezaei arrived to the facility and assisted with interpretation. Upon arrival LPA observed Licensee and her spouse providing care and supervision to three children. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Facility hours of operation are seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Licensee understands that care for same child cannot exceed 24 hour period.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limit areas include: four bedrooms, bathroom on the right side of the facility, shed and garage. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. LPA observed that the facility is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. LPA observed a functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The facility has adequate toys that appear to be safe for children to use. The licensee stated there are no weapons or poisons in the home. There is no fireplace in the home. There are no bodies of water on the premises.
LPA reviewed eight children’s files which were observed to be complete. Required postings and the children’s roster were observed. LPA observed that the last fire drill was documented 09/2024. LPA reminded Licensee to conduct a drill this month. Licensee’s CPR and First Aid certificate expires 04/2025. Licensee is exempt from Mandated Reporter Training due to language barrier. LPA reminded Licensee to maintain and have available for review infant safe sleep logs.
LPA verified that the annual fees are current. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
