13 | On August 20th 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mandie Goodwin met with owner Sithumini Millawabandara to conduct further investigation and close a complaint investigation regarding the above allegations. Upon arrival there were 4 infants supervised by 2 staff members.
Throughout the course of the investigation LPA conducted interviews with staff and clients, obtained documentation, and made observations. Interviews did not reveal information that infants have been left unattended or unsupervised during their nap time. Additionally LPA did not observe instances of children being left unattended. LPA did not observe infant children being handled roughly. Interviews with staff and clients in care did not indicate a concern with how staff handle the infants. For the allegation of pests, LPA observed documentation of the presence of ants at facility on June 28th, 2024. LPA observed ants during visit to facility on July 11th, 2024. Interviews revealed that the ants were present in June and were treated with non-toxic pest killer and dish soap. A popsicle was left in the trashcan which caused the ants to come back.
