25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with the licensee, Bibi Akhtar, for a case management inspection. The licensee has submitted an application to the department to increase the capacity of children from eight to fourteen.
During today's inspection, LPA inspected the facility. LPA observed the there are no changes in the care areas. Per licensee, off limit areas are Bedroom next to garage, Laundry room and Garage. All the cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to the children. There are no pools, spas or other bodies of water on the property. Fireplace is barricaded. The house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. There is carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, first aid supply box, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone available in the house. There is a variety of age appropriate toys in the house.
During inspection, LPA discussed and informed the regulations and requirements of a large family child care license and a handout was provided. LPA observed the licensee has CPR training certificate valid until December 06, 2026. Licensee has all of the required documents posted and visible for the public. LPA answered licensing questions for the licensee. Per licensee, local fire department has inspected the property on March 12, 2025 and asked for corrections. A follow up inspection will be made by fire department on March 19, 2025.
During today's inspection, LPA did not observe any violation of regulations. Once LPA receive the approval/clearance from local fire department, a large family child care home license with maximum capacity of 14 children will be granted. Copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the licensee. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days. |
