25 | Application Specialist (AS) Mai Lor met with Applicant Francesca Winn for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection. Present during this inspection are Co-Applicant Isobel Whitbread-Cole, staff members Shelby Parker, Sharee Russell, Selina Martinez, and Courtney Charriere. Applicant is requesting a preschool license to serve 84 preschool children from age two to entry into kindergarten. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The fire clearance was granted on 01/23/2023.
AS reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. Applicant acknowledges that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, Effects of Lead Exposure, car seat poster, menus, and daily schedule. Entrance Checklist was provided to the applicant.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
The preschool has four classrooms (Lavender (Two Years Old), Rosemary (Two Years Old), Maple (3-4 Years Old), and Pine (5 Years Old)), a kitchen to support food preparation, laundry room, and office area. AS observed sufficient amount of age-appropriate equipment, toys, tables, benches, napping mats, and individual cubbies. There is a first aid kit in each classroom. Applicant stated medications will stored in each of the classrooms. Applicant stated there are no firearms or weapon on the premises. Applicant stated indoor and outdoor drinking water will be provided to children by tap water in the children’s individual water bottles. AS observed carbon monoxide detectors throughout the facility. Applicant stated the facility will be utilizing an electronic sign in and sign out system. Applicant stated they will be using electronic sign in and sign out system. Applicant stated paper sign in and sign out will also be available as a back-up. Applicant stated the facility will provide morning and afternoon snack. Parents will be responsible for lunch.
