13 | Licensing Program Analyst Erwina Pascual-Golamco (LPA) and Licensing Program Manager Natalie Dunaway (LPM), met with Licensee Mercy Ishida, to deliver findings of the above allegation.
It was alleged that staff made inappropriate comments towards a daycare child. Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA toured the facility, observed staff provide care to children and conducted interviews.
Staff interviews revealed that staff would say "nice hands, use our listening ears," when talking or redirecting children, and they have not heard or witnessed staff say inappropriate comments toward a daycare child. Parent interviews revealed that staff keep parents updated, are attentive, and friendly from past interviews.
LPA Interviews, and observations failed to corroborate the allegation that staff made inappropriate comments towards a daycare child. Although the alleged violation may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met to fully prove or disprove that it did or did not occur, therefore, it is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
