On July 11, 2023, at approximately 12:00pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing met with Applicant Ines Chekkat for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing change of ownership inspection. Applicant requests a preschool license to serve 45 children from age 2 to entry into first grade. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The fire clearance was granted on May 11, 2023.

Facility was previously licensed under #343624295 as Kids Company Preschool. Applicant stated that she understands that she must still pay her annual licensing fees to keep her license current. Applicant acknowledges that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, Effects of Lead Exposure, car seat poster, menus, and daily schedule. LPA discussed the LIC311A and the forms that must be in each child's and each staff member's file. The facility will be providing breakfast, lunch, and AM snack, and PM snack.

LPA measured the indoor space totaling 1,620.618 square feet which will accommodate the requested 45 preschool children. There is appropriate napping equipment. Adequate storage space available for children's belongings. Toys and equipment are age appropriate.
LPA measured the outdoor space totaling 5,187.982 square feet which will accommodate the requested 45 children. Adequate shade available in the outdoor activity area. There is sufficient material under the play structures for cushioning.

There are four toilets and four sinks/hand washing fixtures in the children's bathroom, which will accommodate the requested capacity of 45 children. Indoor and outdoor water in bottles or in thermoses provided by parents and filled in the facility.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Prior to receiving a child care license for this facility, the licensee will provide the following to the LPA:

- LIC 401 Monthly Operating Statement.
- Bank Statements as alternate for LIC 404.
- Yard Sketch LIC 999.
- Parent Handbook.
- Admission Agreement.
- Director packet for Ines Chekkat.

Pending a final file review and completion of above items, a recommendation will be made to license the above facility for a capacity of 45 preschool children.
