25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Erwina Pascual-Golamco and Jennifer Velasco conducted a Plan of Correction visit today to clear the deficiency cited on 04/08/24. LPAs toured the facility, reviewed facility documents, and observed Licensee providing care to children.
Licensee was cited for Type A CCR 102416.5 (b)(3)(a):
102416.5 Staffing Ratio and Capacity
(b)For a Small Family Child Care Home, the maximum number of children for whom care may be provided at any one time, including children under age 10 who reside at the licensee's home, shall be one of the following:
(3)More than six and up to eight children, without an additional adult attendant, only if the criteria in Section 1597.44 of the Health and Safety Code are met.
Health and Safety Code section 1597.44 states:
A small family day care home may provide care for more than six and up to eight children, without an additional adult attendant, if all of the following conditions are met:
(a)At least one child is enrolled in and attending kindergarten or elementary school and a second child is at least six years of age.
As of today, 04/29/24, Licensee meets Small Family Childcare Home Ratio and Capacity. LPA observed Licensee providing care to 1 infant and 3 preschool aged children.
Deficiency cleared in today's inspection, exit interview was conducted, and Notice of Site visit was provided and shall be posted where visible to parents for 30 days. |
