25 | On Thursday, August 29, 2024, at approximately 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing met with Applicant Sahar Janah for the purpose of conducting an announced change of location pre-licensing inspection. All adults living in the home have received criminal record background clearance. Applicant plans to operate Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside of the home. The two-story home includes four bedrooms, children’s play room, three bathrooms, two living rooms, kitchen, laundry room, garage, and back yard. Off-limits areas: Laundry room and entire upstairs including 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
LPA observed functioning dual smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, a first aid kit, and a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher in the home. Applicant has a current EMSA certified CPR and First Aid certificate which expires July 16, 2025. Applicant’s Preventative Health and Safety training was completed July 5, 2020.
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The applicant provided proof of control of property.
