On September 25, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennie Tedlos met with Facility Director, Christine Mendoza, to deliver the findings of the complaint investigation regarding the above allegation that was submitted to licensing on 7/12/24. LPA observed 39 children.
LPA Tedlos conducted an investigation regarding the complaint allegation listed above. LPA toured the facility, conducted interviews with the Reporting Party (RP), Staff Members and parents of children that attend or who have attended the facility. LPA also obtained pertinent information to assist with the investigation.
It was alleged the facility took down Licensing Notice of Site and Deficiency posting from a previous complaint investigation. Postings are to be kept up for 30 days. LPA visited the facility to open the complaint on 7/16/24 and observed that the postings were posted in the original area that the LPA had previously posted them on 7/11/24. Director Chrinstine Mendoza states that when the postings were posted initially on 7/11/24..

... the facility's AC was being repaired and the hot temperatures caused the taped postings and other wall decorations to fall off the wall. The postings continued to be put back up but would keep falling down due to the heat. Once AC was fixed, the postings stayed up. LPA recalls that during the visit on 7/11/24, the facility closed early to repair the AC.

Based on the interviews conducted, and the records reviewed, the above allegation was found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur.

An exit interview was conducted by Jennie Tedlos with Director Christine Mendoza, and Appeal Rights were provided. A Notice of Site Visit was posted by LPA and shall remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
