25 | Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kary Maestas met with Applicant/Director, Deborah (Debbie) Ochoa for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection. Applicant requests a preschool license to serve 54 preschool children from age two to entry into kindergarten and 8 toddlers age 18-36 months under the Toddler Option Program. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fire clearance was granted and received on 6/27/2022. The facility will provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks.
AS reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. AS discussed the safe sleep regulations with applicant and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There is two preschool classrooms and one toddler classroom. AS observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, cubbies, and napping cots. Medication will be store in the kitchen above the refrigerator and the first aid kit is located in the classroom cabinet. AS observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. AS observed water dispensers in the classrooms. AS observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in the classroom. AS observed a sign-in/sign-out binder.
