bedroom, the rear enclosed patio room. The front enclosed patio(day care room) will be used for napping. LPA observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke and carbon monoxide detector. LPA observed children play area is fenced in the left and rear backyard, and no bodies of water. Off limit areas outside the home: rear right side restricted carport area. Applicant states that there are no weapons in the home. Applicant states there no pets in the home. Cleaning Products, toxic agents, medications, and sharp objects were inaccessible to children. LPA reminded Applicant that smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items are not allowed in Family Child Care Homes.
A listing of staff criminal record clearances associated to this facility in the CCL Licensing Information System (LIS) on 5/29/24 was reviewed and it indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background clearances have not received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Applicant Maria Kenina Gonzalez Juarez was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Joint Tennant, Fernando Gonzalez is Co-owner of the home, needs to have background check.
