This report is an amendment to the original report dated March 19, 2025. On March 19, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kris Diaz conducted an unannounced inspection at the facility. LPA was greeted by Center Director, Annette Franquez. The purpose of the visit was to initiate a Complaint Investigation that was received at the Palmdale Regional Office (PRO) on March 11, 2025. At the time of the visit LPA observed 65 children in care (including a Part-day Program for AM and PM attendees) with 32 staff. LPA completed a safety inspection that resulted in zero deficiencies.

During the investigation, LPA gathered documents pertinent to the investigation. Allegation #1 - LPA observed a photo of a small cut that showed the skin raised with no bleeding and the object that may have caused the injury. Interviews revealed the child may have sustained the injury from a laminated picture attached to a popsicle stick when children exchanged the items during storytime. Allegation #2 - Interviews revealed staff do not yell at children in care. No witnesses corroborated the allegations listed above. Cont'd LIC9099C
