25 | On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Jennifer Davidson Head of School/Facility Representative, Lisa Oliver CFO, and Director Kim Montague. Facility is requesting to be licensed for 47 Toddler option children ages 1.5 - 36 months in rooms Nido 1, Nido 2, Nido 3 and Nido 4. Currently the facility is licensed for 36 toddler option children. The facility has a current preschool licensed component and a school-age licensed component. Days and Hours of operation will be Toddler/Preschool Monday-Friday 7:45 am- 5:00 pm. School-age Monday - Friday 7:45 am-8:30 am and 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm. School-age summer 7:45 am - 5:00 pm. Present during today’s inspection were 34 children with 9 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Director Kim Montague that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 1695.01, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 47 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via children brought water bottles. Facility refills with a pure water cooler. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 08/07/2024.
LPA observed a total of 7 sinks and 7 toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 47 children.
