25 | On Thursday, July 17, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual Inspection. LPA met with, Licensee Myrna Novicio who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Adult children) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on. The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm. At the time of the visit there were 5 children present with 1 staff member.
This is a one-story family home. There is a living room, family room, kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry area, and attached garage but not accessible from inside the home. Licensee does provide napping, there are cots and a playpen. The off-limits areas are the three bedrooms, master bathroom, and garage. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Hanging window blind cords: The cords are inaccessible to children. Pets: there are no pets on premises. Phone service: There is a working landline and cell phone, always charged and kept on the Licensee. Transportation: The Licensee does not provide transportation for children. Isolation occurs in the living room for children in care shows signs of illness. The calming area is located at a table in the living room. There is a fireplace that, per the Licensee, is not in use and barricaded with a stand and inaccessible to children in care. LPA did not observe any pets
Medications are stored off limit’s bedroom inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored in cabinet and made inaccessible by a safety latch. Cleaning compounds are stored in the laundry room inaccessible to children. The First Aid kit is located in the master bedroom inaccessible to children. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. LPA did not see any weapons or firearms in the home. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are in operable condition. PAGE 1
