Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA) Babatunde Ibitoye met with Sharon Aiken, Director/Owner- Teacher. LPAs conducted a Required 1 year Annual inspection for the preschool in accordance with the facility sketch. The center also has a School- Age program (#364803593). A tour of the facility was conducted. Upon arrival LPAs observed one classroom with a total of 8 preschool children. There were one teacher on the premises along with the director/teacher. The center operates 6:00AM- 6:00PM Monday through Friday.

Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Classroom is clean and safe. Telephone service was verified. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. There are cubbies and coat hooks for children's belongings. LPAs observed age appropriate toys and materials. Drinking water is available inside the classroom in the form of a water cooler and personal cups (name on cup). LPAs observed a sufficient quantity of mats available for napping children. Mats are stored in a separate cubby area. There is a fire extinguisher, smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector on the premises.

LPAs inspected and observed one bathroom (two toilets, two sinks, one uniral). Toilets and sinks are functioning properly and are age appropriate. LPAs observed soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available.

Children are inspected for illnesses (well-ness policy) A review of medication policy indicated that prescription and or over the counter medication is not administered at the facility. Sick children are placed in the quiet area until parent arrive.

Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning (sand) material, good repair and age appropriateness. The play area has sand box. The area was observed to be free of debris and there is shade (covered patio). There is an Igloo cooler for children.

There is a clean fully equipped kitchen (off limits) with refrigerator/freezer and stove. The facility provides morning and afternoon snacks only, lunches are provided by parents. Lunches are stored in refrigerator or in cubbies. Currently no children with allergy. LPAs observed an appropriate amount of food and snacks. The chemicals (locked closet) are kept separate from the food.
Sign in and out sheets were reviewed. The parent board was reviewed and has all of the required forms posted. Fire/earthquake drills current. Roster current.

Teacher child ratios were observed and staff name recorded. Care and supervision was evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met and appropriate. Staff were questioned to establish their familiarity of emergency reporting requirements, emergency disaster plans and other site operations. Personal rights of children were discussed.
Children's records and staff records were reviewed. Staff are certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid expire 01/01/2023. Additional forms and a copy of Title 22 Regulations may be obtained at the department's website www.ccld.ca.gov.

No deficiencies cited according to Title 22 Regulations. Notice of Site Visit has been posted (LIC9213). The notice shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100.00 civil penalty.
