· Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition.
· Food preparation area is clean, free of litter, rubbish and free of rodents and other vermin.
· Food is stored appropriately and protected from contamination. LPAs advised Director on the importance of keeping expiration dates written on items removed from the original containers for health reasons.
· All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair.
· Menus shall be posted at least one week in advance in a place visible by the child’s authorized representative, dated and kept on file for 30 days, and made available upon request.
· Uncontaminated drinking water shall be readily available both indoors and outdoors and provided by a filtered water pitcher.
· The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment shall be cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. The facility utilizes artificial grass turf to cushion high climbing equipment.
· Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements.
· A Staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 04/06/2025.
· Opening and closing staff member’s CPR/First Aid expires on 04/06/2025.
· Director completed Health and Safety Training.
· A review of children’s records was conducted, and records were found to be incomplete during this inspection. During record review, LPAs found that of the infants present the day of the inspection, four children did not have the Individual Infant Sleeping Plan (LIC9227) on file and they were under the age of twelve months. Additionally, three children were observed to be sleeping on their stomachs and did not have LIC9227’s on file indicating they were able to roll over of their own accord. LPAs also found that nine of the infants and toddlers present did not have a Needs and Services plan on file as required per regulations.
· Disaster drills to be conducted every six months – last drill conducted on 02/28/2023.
