25 | On May 2, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Stephanie Flatt who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Spouse, Adult Children) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file. The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 5am to 6pm. At the time of the visit there were 14 children present with 3 staff members.
This is a single-story house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, family room/day care room, de-attached building, and detached garage. Per Licensee the family room/day care room, 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom and backyard are utilized for day care. Per licensee the off-limit areas of the home are living room, kitchen, 1 bathroom, 3 bedrooms, garage, detached building in backyard and 1 storage shed. There is a fireplace located in the family room which is inaccessible to children with a metal barrier locked. There is not a swimming pool/body of water on the premises. LPA observed Chickens, Rooster, and dogs on the premises. The animals are off limits to the children made inaccessible to children by a 10 by 15 kennel and a chicken coop. The dogs are all vaccinated.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored in a locked pantry made inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored in an upper cabinet and made inaccessible by safety latch.
