The facility has smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and were found operable according to Fire Marshall Standards at 10:59am and 11:00am, respectively. LPA observed the first aid kit and it was found to be complete with the following supplies including tweezers, scissors, gauze, adhesive tape, bandages, cleansing pad/solution, thermometer, and a first aid manual. Trash cans with tight lids were observed making solid wastes inaccessible to children in care; there are trash cans without lids but the Site Supervisor stated they are not used for solid waste. Cleaning supplies, hazardous materials, and/or poisons are found to be out of the reach of children and locked above the sink in each restroom. The facility does not provide transportation. There is no smoking on the premises. There are no weapons, firearms, and ammunition on site; LPA did not observe any of the above. The Site Supervisor states she is unaware of the name of the insurance provider of the facility.

The center provides meals: breakfast, lunch, and snacks upon request.
Outdoor Activity Space:
The outdoor play area was inspected and observed to be free of hazards, loose, or sharp objects. Equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair, and age appropriateness. At 11:13am, LPA observed climbing structures and other play equipment were found to be securely anchored; however, the cushioning material underneath and around the perimeter had been displaced from the use of the children, the Site Supervisor had the cushioning material replaced around and under the climbing structure, technical assistance has been provided. At 11:15am, LPA observed a tricycle with a damaged handle bar cover, the Site Supervisor immediately placed the tricycle in an inaccessible area until the handle bar cover could be replaced. Children are provided filtered water via water fountains during outdoor play. There is adequate shaded area for rest. The playground is well-fenced, all around and no bodies of water were observed in the outdoor play area. |
