25 | On August 6, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway made an unannounced inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Licensee, who granted access. LPA and Licensee toured the home inside and outside for an Annual Random inspection. Residing in the home are the Licensee, three adults, and no minor children. The home is licensed for twelve to fourteen children. LPA observed six (6) children in active care ages: four months- eight years old with licensee and facility representative during inspection.
Physical Plant: This is a two story 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with kitchen, dining room, family room, living room, and garage. Childcare is provided: in Living room upon entry. Children’s Bathroom: is in hallway on the left near the living room it was observed clean, with soap and toilet paper, cabinets had a safety latch. Cleaning wipes were on a high shelf there were no hazards. Unused outlets in the home were covered. Blinds are cordless. Age-appropriate toys, furniture, and books were observed. Napping equipment: three play pens, cots observed enough for all children. There was a changing table and a baby swing. The home was inspected inside and outside for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, hazardous detergents/cleaning compounds are kept inside the garage, Clorox wipes are primarily used throughout the home. Medicines are kept upstairs in off limits bedroom. Windows are screened, free of bugs, cracks, and debris. There is a swamp cooler inside the daycare area observed uncovered and accessible to the children. LPA recommended a mesh, breathable cover. |
