25 | On August 1, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway made an unannounced inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Licensee, who granted access. LPA and Licensee toured the home inside and outside for an Annual Random inspection. Residing in the home are the Licensee, and spouse. The home is licensed for twelve to fourteen children. LPA observed no children in care with licensee during inspection.
Physical Plant: This is a two story 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with kitchen, formal dining room, family room, living room, and garage. Childcare is provided: in the converted garage. Children’s Bathroom: is in hallway on the right observed clean, with soap and toilet paper, (no hazards). Unused outlets in the home were covered. Blinds are cordless. Age-appropriate toys, furniture, and books were observed. Napping equipment: Cots were observed and enough for all children. The home was inspected inside and outside for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, hazardous detergents/cleaning compounds kept in the locked office, Per Licensee there is no medication inside the home. Windows are screened, free of bugs, cracks, and debris.
Inside the Kitchen the items that can pose a danger to children were made inaccessible. Sharp knives were on the top shelf of the pantry- key locked and inaccessible. Fire/earthquake drills: Fire: 7/24 Earthquake: 7/24. Child/Parent Roster was complete with parent and child info, but missing physician’s information. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) was full/green last serviced 2023. LPA recommended servicing. |
