32 | Kitchen: The kitchen was inspected for safety, and it was noted that hazardous items are kept out of children's reach with child safety latches. Sharp utensils, poisons, and medications are not accessible to children, and sharp knives were inside the pantry on a high shelf in a tool box.
Dining room and Living room: An adult-size couch is present, adult size dining table with six chairs, no hazards present.
Family room: An adult-size couch is present, and a TV is used to play educational videos for the children. LPA observed a fireplace in the family room and it is screened and inaccessible to children.
Backyard: The backyard was inspected; The children use the backyard for outside play. The backyard is gated all around. The outdoor play area was observed to be free of hazards and loose and sharp parts. LPA observed a grass and concrete area for active play.
Overnight care: According to the Licensee, overnight care will not be provided.
Off-limit: Garage locked with key lock, Upper floor level: upstairs (barricaded by safety gate) Bedrooms: #2, #3, #4, and #5, Bathrooms: #2 and #3, and laundry room.
Bodies of water: According to the licensee, there were no bodies of water in the home. LPA did not observe any bodies of water.
Additional Information: An AC/Heating unit is located on the right side of the home and is inaccessible to children, with vinyl fencing all around blocking access. All unused electrical outlets are plugged and inaccessible to children. The licensee provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. A required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) was observed in the kitchen. It is reading in the green zone, inaccessible to children, and meets standards established by the State Fire Marshal. All window blind cords are secured and inaccessible to children. If a child shows signs of illness, they will be separated from other children and stay in the living room. Detergents and cleaning compounds are stored in the off limits laundry room, out of children’s reach, and medications are kept in an off-limits bedroom. Children will nap under adult supervision in bedroom #1. LPA observed 20 mats amd 4 playpens. The household has two dogs (kept in the garage). Per Licensee dogs will not interact with daycare children. The home has a working landline and cell phone. All smoke detectors and carbon monoxide devices were tested and found to be operable. A fully stocked first aid kit, including a first aid manual, was observed in upper shelf in hall closet and is inaccessible to children. The licensee does not provide transportation for the children. Per the licensee, there are no weapons or firearms at the facility. LPA did not observe any weapons or firearms.
