25 | On June 24, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced Annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Amasha Griffin who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Spouse, Licensee sister, Adult Children) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file. The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. At the time of the visit there were 0 children present with 1 staff member.
This is a single-story house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, Office, 1 bonus rooms (day-care room), Backyard # 1, Backyard # 2 and attached garage. Per Licensee the 1 bonus room, dining room, 1 bathroom and backyard # 1 are utilized for the family childcare. Per licensee off-limit areas of the home is the living room, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, office 1 bathrooms, Backyard # 2 and garage. Per Licensee there is empty Jacuzzi Tub with no water in the off-limits area of Backyard # 2. There is a fireplace located in the family room which is inaccessible to children with a Zip ties barrier locked.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medicines and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children, LPA observed all items are made inaccessible to children during the time of this inspection. LPA observed age-appropriate safe toys and napping equipment on the premises. Per licensee children nap in the day-care room (bonus room).
