32 | Furthermore, LPA did not receive consistent statements during children’s interviews. LPA attempted to conduct interviews with children, however due to their ages, LPA was not able to obtain substantial information. Therefore, conflicting statements were received regarding the mentioned allegation.
It was also reported that staff did not allow daycare child to participate in activities with other children.
Furthermore, it was reported that the mentioned child was seen to be excluded from participating in certain activities that the rest of the class was participating in.
However, during pertinent staff interviews, it was revealed that the child mentioned had the ability to participate in activities with other the children. However, it was also revealed that the child mentioned would often isolate themselves from the class, and play by themselves when the class would participate in certain activities. Therefore, conflicting statements were received regarding the above allegation.
Based on information obtained during this investigation through interviews conducted, the review of pertinent documentation, and after receiving conflicting information, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that the allegation is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
